Welcome to Step 2
Our Focus for this step (or is it a few giant leaps?)
- Creating your own e-Portfolio page here on the site
- Exploring Social bookmarking
- Tagging... What’s it all about??
Hmm well to begin with this may not make a lot of sense but tagging is really useful and is being used more and more in the online world to help you weave your own net on the web. You will come across the term 'tag' and 'tagging' quite a lot in the e-tivities for this week.Hint: You may find it helpful to print this page so you can tick off your tasks as you complete them (if you think you can manage without doing this then do save on paper and don't print)

E-tivities to aim to achieve ...
- Create your own Technology ePortfolio page here in this website. This will be your way to keep track of your own learning and enable your teacher to support, keep track of and assess your learning. You will revisit your technology eportfolio every step of the way! How to begin? Go to Emerging technology student portfolios page.
- Explore and join Del.icio.us, a Social bookmarking website. Begin by going to our Social Bookmarking info page (Stored under our Technology Tools section in the left side menu) watch a 3 minute video and then follow info there to join.
- Add your eportfolio webpage to your delicious favourites - tag it with esustain08 and eportfolio
- Join in the discussion thread below about tagging & social bookmarking
- Reflect on your learning and discoveries from this step 2 in your ePortfolio - Include your delicious web address. e.g. Vivian's is http://delicious.com/vivevans, Add dates to the 2nd table on your page if you tried any of the activities listed.
- If time you might like to try Extra tasks below (this is not compulsory but could be fun and a way to extend your learning and understanding)
Extra tasks you might like to try...
If you have time in class or if you can log in online later to try and follow up the activities (Revisiting after class is the best way to reinforce what you learn in class )
