Then here are some hints to help you look... Real dictionaries are useful but why not use the great tools that are online

Many people use Search Engines to find information. Google is a very popular search engine.

When looking for definitions here is a hint...
instead of just putting in the word e.g. 'riparian'
Ask Google a question 'What is riparian?'
See the difference in your responses... hmm you do get an answer both ways but the latter method may get you closer.... to what you are after
